D. BP9040 Towers + CS9060 = THREE Subs for the Space of NONE!!!

Here's Triple Impressive Bass Regarding the Definitive Technology CS9060 center channel speaker pictured below right (available from OneCall) which features its own integrated 8-inch powered subwoofer (and an LFE input unlike almost every other center channel speaker currently on the market), SrCustomerServiceTech said in the Q&A for this speaker "The LFE input should (generally speaking) not be used except when the subwoofer in the CS9060 is THE only subwoofer present in the system."

Definitive Technology BP9040 (Pair) | Tower Speakers w/Subwoofers Definitive Technology CS9060 | Center Channel Speaker w/Powered Subwoofer

The owner's manual for the BP9040 tower speakers pictured above left (also available from OneCall) which also each feature a built-in 8-inch powered sub (and dual bass radiators) also mentions that the "preferred" connection option is Speaker Level Only where you run just speaker wire from your receiver to each speaker and use the SPEAKER:LARGE, SUB:NO setting on your receiver, instead of Speaker Level + LFE where you would also run a subwoofer cable to the LFE input.

Go Figure! A legendary speaker company that's cocky enough to add an LED backlight to their D. logo at the very bottom of a floor standing tower speaker wants their speaker's internal crossover network to handle audio frequency distribution instead of leaving it to the whims of a receiver manufacturer and the product's owner conspiring to "mess it up". So...you will need speaker wire for your left, center, and right speakers, plus MAYBE two subwoofer cables if you've got an X.2-channel receiver, and MAYBE a Y-connector if you've only got an X.1-channel receiver, PLUS you will need three AC outlets available on your surge protector to power the three integrated 8-inch powered subwoofers. You've gotta love it :)
